July 10th, 2009

Saarland Company Run LogoCentigrade GmbH formed a team of runners to attend the 5th Saarland Company Run that took place in Dillingen, Germany July 9th, 2009. The record-breaking event once more convinced with spectacular participation: with 14717 runners from 1025 companies, the event is one of the largest collective sporting events in Germany.

Themed by the Company Run’s original idea of creating a stronger sense of togetherness among employees of the same company, Centigrade joined the event with a mixed team of four people: Thomas Immich, Florian Moritz, David Patrizi and Petra Ripplinger.

Thomas Immich, Managing Director at Centigrade: “It was the first time ever that we joined this event and we all were tremendously impressed about how many people participated. It was a great experience for the entire Centigrade team that made us gear up for more.”

Despite the fact that just one of the Centigrade team’s members is a trained runner, the Centigrade team was able to finish in the top 300 group with a total time of 1:47:32 for 5 km, which is an average time of about 0:27 minutes per team member. “We did not expect to finish with a presentable result like that. All the more we were enlightened when the ranking had been published.”, David Patrizi, User Interface Designer at Centigrade says.

The official participants and ranking list can be browsed on the official website of the Saarland Company Run.
