Centigrade participates in World Usability Day 2011

November 7th, 2011

On November 10th World Usability Day (WUD) takes place for the seventh time. Public events around the globe deal with current trends and developments in the areas of usability and user experience design. The topic of this year’s WUD is: “Education: Designing for Social Change”. Centigrade contributes to the event in the “Ruhr Metropolis” as sponsor as well as with a talk.

In his talk, Kai Deller, Interaction Designer at Centigrade GmbH deals with games UX and what “serious” software industries can learn from it.
Kai Deller: “My talk is about games user experience regarding the recipient side as well as the development side. I try to shed light on the question which aspects of games UX can and should be applied to ‘classical’ software development. And finally, the topic is also related to the WUD motto, since games often have social aspects and underlie social influences.”

The event takes place at Games Factory Ruhr. Further information can be found at the event’s website http://worldusabilityday.de/groups/metropole-ruhr (German)
