This year, as in 2009 and 2010, Centigrade supported UXcamp Europe as a sponsor. In addition, several employees of the company participated in the BarCamp. As always, a multitude of top-class sessions on diverse aspects of user experience design was offered. A special surprise awaited the Centigrade employees in the session “The Future of Interfaces”, which dealt with issues that will become more and more important for the design of user interfaces.

For the third year in a row, Centigrade supports “UXcamp Europe”, which takes place in Berlin on the 11th and 12th of June. The conference on user experience issues is conducted as a BarCamp, which means that the organization of sessions is completely participant-driven and participating is free. This is possible thanks to sponsors like Centigrade.

In 2010, World Usability Day takes place for the sixth time and focuses on the theme of “communication”. This is also the topic that a special issue of User Experience Magazine, the official magazine of UPA (Usability Professionals’ Association) is focusing on. Centigrade contributes to the magazine with an article by Dr. Markus Weber, Head of Usability Engineering.

Centigrade supported this year’s UXcamp Europe as a sponsor and also joined the very well attended event as a session contributor. UXcamp Europe has been taking place in Berlin on the 29th and 30th of May and focused on user experience topics such as information architecture, visual design, prototype engineering and alike. As the postfix „camp“ suggests, the event was organized and conducted as a BarCamp, i.e. an open and participatory unconference whose session planning and content is completely determined by the participants.

After a successful premiere in 2009, UXcamp will take place in Berlin in 2010 again. Taking place right after the international conference “UPA 2010” in Munich, UXcamp is conceived as international event, too. Centigrade is proud to support “UXcamp Europe 2010” as a sponsor.
