Kick Off UXcamp Europe 2014.

For the sixth time, the UXcamp Europe will take place in Berlin from June 20th to June 21th. It’s one of the biggest barcamps in the field of user experience. The event has no fixed program: The participants themselves are involved in scheduling all sessions at the beginning of the UXcamp. At the 22nd and 23rd of June, the UXcamp Europe 2013 took place in Berlin. Centigrade accompanies the event from the very beginning, and contributed to the success of the event through several lectures and the t-shirt sponsorship.

As in previous years, Centigrade is involved in the UXcamp Europe 2013 in Berlin. The annual camp on user experience will take place on the 22nd and 23rd of June and is held under the slogan “No spectators, just participants”. The topics range from information architecture and interaction design to visual design and user interface development.  All visitors are encouraged to actively participate in the BarCamp through lectures, discussions and presentations.

OMICRON, a long-standing customer of Centigrade has released RelayLabTest, an innovative desktop-based software to test protection devices. RelayLabTest enables users to simulate entire power networks in order to achieve most realistic operating conditions. The software already complies with the requirements of the future standard IEC 60255-121 for distance protection devices. Centigrade supported OMICRON during the entire user interface design and engineering process of the WPF-based user interface from start to end.

UXcamp Europe 2012On May 26th and 27th, this year’s installment of UXcamp Europe will take place in Berlin. The BarCamp deals with diverse UX issues, ranging from information architecture over interaction design, up to visual design and user interface development. This year, as in 2009 and 2010, Centigrade supported UXcamp Europe as a sponsor. In addition, several employees of the company participated in the BarCamp. As always, a multitude of top-class sessions on diverse aspects of user experience design was offered. A special surprise awaited the Centigrade employees in the session “The Future of Interfaces”, which dealt with issues that will become more and more important for the design of user interfaces.

In 2010, World Usability Day takes place for the sixth time and focuses on the theme of “communication”. This is also the topic that a special issue of User Experience Magazine, the official magazine of UPA (Usability Professionals’ Association) is focusing on. Centigrade contributes to the magazine with an article by Dr. Markus Weber, Head of Usability Engineering.

Centigrade supported this year’s UXcamp Europe as a sponsor and also joined the very well attended event as a session contributor. UXcamp Europe has been taking place in Berlin on the 29th and 30th of May and focused on user experience topics such as information architecture, visual design, prototype engineering and alike. As the postfix „camp“ suggests, the event was organized and conducted as a BarCamp, i.e. an open and participatory unconference whose session planning and content is completely determined by the participants.
