Centigrade announced that the company has officially released its new product BizLaf, the pluggable stock look and feel for Java™ Swing-based applications that converts existing applications into professionally looking business applications. Accompanying the product launch, the company’s website has undergone major improvements.
Thomas Immich, CEO at Centigrade GmbH: “The Java™ Rich Client community waited a long time for a look and feel that can compete with the look and feels of other modern Rich Internet Application technologies – BizLaf finally fills this gap.
BizLaf cares most about the information that you want to display on your applications’ screens. We created BizLaf including lovely details, however, avoiding unnecessary twirls – BizLaf is clean and concise, modern and friendly, bright and attractive. And as BizLaf ships together with Cezanne, our first-class Look and Feel engine for Java™, it meets the high demands of your customers regarding performance and visual effects.”
Apart from the fact that the company’s website was extended by the BizLaf product page, several other pages were added and improvements to existing pages were made.
Florian Moritz, User Interface Designer at Centigrade GmbH: “One major change that we made to our website is improving readability and clarity by optimizing fonts and artworks for screens with higher resolutions. In doing so, we provide for the fact that most of our website visitors browse with a screen resolution of at least 1280×1024 pixels.
Thomas Immich: “As, in addition, Centigrade now ships three products with BizLaf, Cezanne and Icon Book, we saw the need to add an overview page to present our user experience services at a glance. Visitors shall see instantly that we are and remain a services company by heart – however, supplemented by a range of valuable products. By combining individual services with out-of-the-box products, Centigrade more and more advances to a one-stop-shop for companies interested in comprehensive user experience solutions.”
