Today, German UPA – the association of usability professionals in Germany – officially kicked off its blog focusing on usability and user experience topics. Centigrade supports the platform with an article.
In his article “UX trends – Much hype and not enough critical exchange in the UX community” [German], Dr. Markus Weber, head of usability engineering at Centigrade, deals with the value of professional standards regarding the continuous development of the user experience and usability profession. The article is based on a talk at “Usability Professionals 2012” in Konstanz.
In 2014, as in previous years, Centigrade supports German UPA as sponsor. The professional association serves as network for and represents the interests of all persons who are engaged in the fields of usability and user experience.
Dr. Markus Weber, Head of Usability Engineering at Centigrade: “The activities that are organized and coordinated by the association help to develop the occupational field and improve its public visibility. Therefore we do not only support German UPA as sponsor, but also contribute to events such as the yearly ‘Usability Professionals’ conference and ‘World Usability Day’.”
In addition to supporting the professional association, Centigrade publishes articles on current trends and insights in usability and user experience in its company blog.
Further information on German UPA and its activities can be found on the organization’s website (German).
