Together with Exact Software Deutschland GmbH, Centigrade contributed a talk on “We are buying usability – A user centered recount”. The corresponding session “Inouse & Supplier Cooperation” focused on the collaboration between client and usability services provider. Dr. Markus Weber, Head of Usability Engineering: “Our project with Exact Germany is a perfect example for providing insight regarding the collaboration from initial pitch to establishing sustainable usability measures within the client’s organization. Martin Hesseler, interaction designer at Centigrade, participates in the conference with a paper and presentation on Trust Assurances and online trust. During a study, an instrument for eliciting trust during online transactions has been developed and was subsequently employed in an experiment. The experiment aimed at examining the influence of “quality seals” on users and their behavior.
Martin Hesseler: “E-Commerce is becoming more and more ubiquitous. When commercial transactions are conducted online, the issue of trust gains importance. Therefore, tools for assessing this online trust have to be developed and factors that influence it have to be identified. With our work, my co-authors and I want to contribute to this effort.”
