People, Values & Visions

Our Mindset

The Centigrade team

Values aren't just numbers to us (but also)

Values matter deeply to us because they serve as a guiding framework for our identity, our behaviour and our decisions. They define what we consider important and how we want to act in order to uphold them. That's why we've formulated five value pairs that capture exactly how we work, lead and treat each other — and ourselves.

No Planet – No User

It's simple. If our planet breaks down, there are no users left either.

We want to take ecological responsibility as a company and as a team. That's why we encourage each other to act sustainably, share insights and tips, and aim to keep focusing on integrating sustainable aspects into our business decisions and processes — and finding environmentally friendly solutions.

For example, we don't take domestic flights, source our fruit from regional farms and use refillable bottles. These are small things, but small steps in the right direction count too. 🌳🙆

AI & Sustainability

As an innovative company, we naturally engage with the latest technologies. Unfortunately, these aren't always sustainable — and AI is no exception. The use of generative AI is highly energy-intensive and carries a carbon footprint that shouldn't be underestimated. At the same time, AI holds immense potential to make digital product development more sustainable. We therefore feel it's important to identify those potentials and steer our projects and conversations in exactly that direction.

We want to act in a way that doesn't only take from the system but always gives something back. So when we use AI, we want to generate real value with it. This allows us to tackle industrial projects with AI that play a major role in the energy transition. That's the only way innovation can succeed.

AI & Social Responsibility

When it comes to AI, we take neither an exuberant nor a condemning stance. We engage deeply with the topic and are well aware of both its possibilities and its limitations and risks.

In line with this philosophy, we believe that humans must retain a validating and controlling role when working with AI. This position is supported above all by the fact that AI is still error-prone. Unfortunately, chatbots like ChatGPT tend to present false statements confidently — also known as being "confidently wrong". Scepticism is therefore entirely appropriate, in keeping with our motto:

Finding Truth needs co-creation 🤝

We share Problems, Pizza & a single Vision 🍕

And finally, the most important thing! But of course we share more than just pizza — we share a common vision. We believe that UX has the potential to transform our digital world: to foster transparency, support more sustainable thinking, enable better communication, and together create a reality we're proud of and happy to live in.

Everything starts with a good conversation.

Let's talk about the possibilities for your digital product development. We look forward to hearing from you.
