Education in the fields of technology and science is becoming increasingly important in a society shaped more and more by technology. This makes it ever more important to open access to these topics for young people and inspire them. The Wissenswerkstatt in Saarbruecken is dedicated to exactly this goal. It is supported by various companies, and since 2016 by Centigrade GmbH as well.

Wissenswerkstatt is designed to make exactly that possible. The association not only organizes demonstrations and talks, but also provides facilities: in mechanical workshops for metal and wood processing, laboratories for physics, electrical engineering and control technology, as well as a robotics room, young visitors can literally grasp technology with their own hands.
Since its founding in July 2013, Wissenswerkstatt Saarbruecken has developed progressively and has already received considerable recognition. Most recently, in November 2015, the initiators of the association were honored as STEM ambassadors.
