Miriam Julius
Field Master Concept Design · Senior Concept Designer
Master of Arts in Interface Design
Miriam has extensive experience in the user-centered design of Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) based on LeanUX principles. In her role as Field Master Concept Design, she serves as a Key Account Manager for various agile projects and develops innovative, appealing concepts. Her primary focus is on requirements engineering and information modeling. Additionally, she serves as a trainer for various programs at the Centigrade UX Academy. Miriam holds a Master's degree in Interface Design from FH Potsdam.
Daniel Gassenferth
Lead Concept Designer
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Media
Daniel is a Concept Designer who combines technical expertise with a user-centered approach. With a background in computer science and media informatics, he bridges the gap between technical knowledge and creative problem-solving. Daniel is also a certified Medical Device Usability Expert (TÜV). He has designed complex software solutions featuring intuitive user flows for the medical technology, finance, services, and automotive industries. Using Design Thinking and Lean UX methodologies, he creates interfaces that effectively meet user needs. He is particularly driven by the goal of creating real value for people through creative concepts.
Kim Qazi
Senior Concept Designer

Kim designs digital products with a keen eye for user needs and technical possibilities. She brings extensive expertise in UX, AI prompting, and digital product development. Having worked on both the agency and client side across various projects and industries, she is able to quickly grasp complex requirements and translate them into thoughtful, practical concepts that balance user needs with business goals. She takes an analytical, solution-oriented approach, advocates for user research and iterative development, and provides structured guidance for projects from ideation to implementation.
Lisa Karapatzakis
Concept Designer
Master of Science in Advanced Systems Design
Since 2022, Lisa has been working at Centigrade as a concept designer, using her technical understanding to create concepts in client projects. After her Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics with a focus on technical documentation, Lisa expanded her skills with a Master of Science in Advanced Systems Design at Aalen University. The core of the master's program was the research project "user-centered assembly instructions," which she researched throughout the entire duration of her studies.
Catharina Ravinet
Concept Designer · UX Writer
Master of Arts in Sprachwissenschaft
Catharina is a concept designer and UX writer. Her focus is on translating complex contexts into clear concepts as well as user-centered storytelling and conversational design. She is passionate about helping users achieve their goals with a competence experience. She studied German linguistics and English studies at Saarland University. After graduating, she worked in branding, content, and creative conception and completed journalistic training. Since training at Content Design London in 2021, she has been working in the UX field.
Marius Hubertus

Bachelor of Arts in Virtual Design
Marius Hubertus trained as a media designer for digital and print media and subsequently studied Virtual Design at Hochschule Kaiserslautern, focusing on conception and design in virtual space. Leveraging his experience in print and web, game development, and 3D design, Marius creates innovative interface designs, 3D visualizations, and interactive prototypes at Centigrade.
David Patrizi

David Patrizi graduated in Media Informatics from Furtwangen University. As a passionate User Interface Designer at Centigrade, he works closely with clients to create high-quality icons and screen designs. Using technologies such as WPF, he brings these interfaces to life, seamlessly mastering everything from micro-interaction design to motion design.
Günter Pellner

Since 2012, Günter has been supporting Centigrade and its clients in the visual and technical implementation of intuitive and efficient user interfaces. Starting in web and game development, he now works closely with developers at Centigrade to create feasible design solutions across various technological contexts. With a diverse background in both legacy and modern GUI technologies, he focuses on designing pragmatic solutions that quickly and effectively improve the user experience.
Lara Wüst
Senior Visual Designer

Lara Wüst studied communication design with a focus on digital media at the Academy of Visual Arts in Frankfurt. She gained experience in various digital agencies in different areas such as UI design, brand design, website redesigns, app design, and social media branding. At Centigrade, Lara creates appealing user interfaces, infographics, and icon designs.
Maximilian Holl
Visual Designer
Diploma in Communication Design
While studying communication design at the Saar College of Fine Arts, Maximilian Holl focused on typography as the basis for digital interfaces, infographics, and visual clarity. He deepened this passion in the Type and Media master's program at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, with a focus on typography and coding. At Centigrade, Maximilian develops user-centered interface designs, thinks in terms of holistic systems, and uses code as a design tool to develop new visual languages and interactive prototypes.
Matthias Frauer

Bachelor of Science in Medieninformatik
Matthias Frauer studied media informatics at Saarland University. Early on, he found his focus in web development with an emphasis on usable security and developed the route-based authentication system GeoLock as part of his thesis. At Centigrade, Matthias supports the engineering team in planning and implementing web-based applications, primarily using TypeScript and Angular.
Iris Hesseler
Senior Software Engineer
Dipl. Informatikerin (Medieninformatik)
Iris studied media informatics at the University of Ulm with a focus on computer graphics. She began her career at one of Germany's most well-known UX service providers. After moving to Centigrade, Iris took on the responsibility of project manager in complex .NET software projects due to her many years of experience, especially with WPF and C#. For several years, she has also been responsible for implementing web-based applications with TypeScript, HTML5 & CSS3, preferably in the Angular framework. In the projects, Iris brings her enthusiasm and experience for agile software development processes in close collaboration with our clients. Beyond project work, Iris has been involved several times in the ChanceMINT.NRW program at the University of Duisburg-Essen. The program provides female students from engineering disciplines and computer science with insight into professional practice and prepares them for entering the profession through targeted measures.
Frederic Frieß

Frederic Frieß operates at the intersection of visualization and implementation, with a particular focus on 3D Design Engineering. With several years of experience in this field, he leads the disciplines of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, 3D Design Engineering, and Motion Design at Centigrade. Frederic Frieß studied at the universities of applied sciences in Wiesbaden and Trier and is based at Centigrade's Frankfurt am Main office, where he creates intuitive and immersive experiences for industrial scenarios.
Clemens Poblotzki

Clemens Poblotzki develops static, animated, and interactively experienceable 3D scenarios, which he prepares with his many years of experience in web technologies and frameworks for the requirements of different user groups and for targeted media use. From the classic desktop to virtual reality and mixed reality environments, the optimal user experience is the focus. He is passionate about visualizing complex issues and optimizing workflows at the interfaces between conception and presentation, tooling and authoring, technical integrity, and design innovation.
Patrick Andre Decker

Patrick Andre Decker graduated with a degree in Media Informatics from HS Trier in 2012. Following his studies, he spent three years as a .NET Software Engineer, working with WPF and all layers of the MVVM pattern on address and event management software. Since 2015, he has been supporting Centigrade in creating visually appealing user interfaces using stable and maintainable code. Through close collaboration with a diverse range of clients across various industries, he gained insight into numerous agile software development methods. As a Senior Software Engineer, he now applies this experience to the continuous improvement of his clients' development processes. In addition to his .NET expertise, Patrick also possesses practical knowledge of modern web technologies such as Angular and Elasticsearch.
Mikhail Shabanov

Mikhail studied aerospace, automation, and control systems at the Moscow State Forestry University. He began his career as a C++ developer in the Russian aerospace industry and has extensive experience in commercial software development. His professional background includes roles at Russia's largest communications provider, a global bank, and a major cybersecurity firm. Mikhail possesses deep expertise in databases, backends, and microservices, as well as UI development using WPF and Angular. At Centigrade, he leverages these skills to create applications that provide an exceptional user experience.
Julian Lang
Senior Software Engineer
Master of Science in Computer Science
Julian Lang studied Computer Science at the Hochschule Kaiserslautern. His Master's thesis focused on the design and creation of a Design System architecture aimed at fostering integrated collaboration between UX design and software development. By leveraging various web-based technologies, this allows interdisciplinary teams to collaborate effectively and remotely. As a Web Developer at Centigrade, Julian supports projects of all sizes and shares his years of professional experience as a trainer for Angular courses and as a coach within project teams. Julian is also active in the open-source community; in 2020, in addition to contributing to existing projects, he launched and maintains his own project, ngtx. Ngtx is an Angular test library that simplifies the development of Angular component tests, leading to more robust and readable testing processes.
Adrien Zdanski
Senior Software Engineer
Master of Science in Informatik
Adrien Zdanski studied media informatics in his bachelor's program and subsequently completed his master's degree in computer science at TH Nürnberg. The focus areas during his studies were computer graphics, 3D programming, pattern and speech recognition. In his bachelor's thesis, he addressed generatively designed layouts on the web, and in his master's thesis, he analyzed and developed a hand gesture recognition system based on JavaScript, WebGL, and WebRTC using Hidden Markov Models. During his many years of freelance work, he initially worked as a full-stack developer. Over the years, he specialized in frontend web technologies, with which he implements web-based applications in agile projects. Before his studies, he completed training as a media designer for digital & print in the field of UI/UX, through which he gained experience in user interface design and usability.
Yannik Sprengart
Lead Web Developer

Yannik Sprengart's core competence lies at the intersection of design and development. He designs interfaces and implements them pixel-perfectly. Accessibility, loading times, and maintainability matter to him as much as visual precision. As Lead Web Developer, Yannik is responsible for building the Centigrade website. He works with modern tech stacks such as Astro and Next.js and creates animations and interactions with GSAP. He combined design and technical topics as early as his media informatics studies. He is currently exploring how AI-assisted tools can support design and development processes.
Peter Gressler

Peter Gressler completed his training as an IT management assistant in 2004. Since then, his responsibilities have included the design, administration, and further development of IT infrastructures for medium-sized companies. His focus is on the use of modern cloud technologies. At Centigrade, Peter works as a DevOps engineer and, in addition to introducing new systems, ensures the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure.
Martin Hesseler

Martin has been part of our team for over ten years. After studying Media Informatics, he started as a Concept Designer and has since developed deep expertise in UX design and user-centered product development. Today, as a Senior UX Manager, he leads large, complex software projects and coordinates interdisciplinary teams with a focus on efficiency, quality, and collaboration. What drives him is the belief that UX doesn't end with the concept—his work is only successful when user needs and the user experience are tangible in the final product. In agile projects, Martin works closely with software engineers, seamlessly integrating UX processes into existing structures and ensuring efficient collaboration among all involved. With experience as an Agile Manager, Product Owner, and Scrum Master, he supports the team in various roles wherever he is needed. He provides strategic consultancy to our clients, manages project risks, and ensures that well-founded decisions are made in close coordination with all stakeholders.
Britta Karn

Britta Karn works at Centigrade in the fields of UX Management, Account Management, and UX Research. In project business, she maintains a holistic overview of the Continuous UX process and ensures its implementation across projects. She also represents the user's perspective, relaying feedback to the team to iteratively refine solution ideas in a user-centered way. In business development, Britta serves as the first point of contact for potential clients or routes inquiries to the relevant departments. Britta Karn studied Psychology at Saarland University. During her Master's studies, she minored in Media Informatics, where she developed a particular passion for User Experience as the intersection of psychology and computer science.
Julian Wahl

Julian has extensive experience in the user-centered design of digital products and services. Across various software projects focusing on usability and interaction design, he has supported clients from SMEs, the financial industry, and international automotive manufacturers. He manages projects holistically, from requirements analysis and conceptualization to implementation. His core expertise includes developing robust UX concepts, usability engineering, managing user-centered projects, and shaping agile development processes. Julian studied Digital Media at Hochschule Fulda and is a certified SAFe® Product Owner.

Alessandra Rodrigues Eismann holds a Master's degree in Psychology from Bielefeld University. During her studies, she developed a passion for User Experience and Usability, which led her to Centigrade. There, she works in UX Research, interacting directly with users through interviews and testing to act as their voice within projects. She also leads research-related projects at Centigrade.
Thomas Immich

Thomas Immich is the owner and Managing Director of Centigrade, one of Germany's leading UX & Gamification agencies. For over 20 years, he has focused on user-centered design methods, specifically regarding their technical feasibility and tool support. During this time, as a consultant for his Continuous UX methodology toolkit, he has helped numerous agile development teams optimize and integrate modern UX processes. He is also a speaker at prominent UX conferences such as "Mensch & Computer" and the "World Usability Congress," and has received several awards, including the "iF communication design award" and the "Best Session Award Usability Professionals." Thomas Immich holds a degree in computer science, having completed his studies in Digital Media at FH Kaiserslautern, Zweibrücken campus, with an award-winning thesis on "User Interface Prototyping." He began his professional career as a video game developer.

As Head of Operations, Florian Moritz shapes the organizational and economic framework of Centigrade. He is responsible for central areas of internal corporate management, develops structures, processes, and tools, and ensures that teams have the best possible conditions for successful work. Additionally, he coordinates the Frankfurt am Main location. His roots lie in UX/UI design, web development, and computer science. As a former Head of Design, he combines technical understanding with many years of experience in developing digital products and services. He is particularly concerned with the use of artificial intelligence and automation to make processes smarter, make knowledge more accessible, and create space for creative and strategic work. In doing so, he helps ensure that user-centricity, technological innovation, and continuous development are not only part of the work for clients at Centigrade but also shape daily actions within the company.
Aline Barré

Aline Barré is Head of Visual Design at Centigrade. She is passionate about innovative design ideas and optimal interaction paradigms. Together with her team, she creates award-winning, systematically scalable designs that delight users. In her design process, she emphasizes fresh perspectives and interdisciplinary, integrative thinking. Her broad professional focus includes Design Thinking, Brand Experience, Intermedia Design, Storytelling, and research. During her Communication Design studies at the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saar, she specialized in typography, graphic design, branding, and screen design. She completed her final project at DFKI (German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence) in the fields of Innovative Retail and Smart Home. Previously, she earned a bachelor's degree in Intermedia Design and completed vocational training as a media designer for digital and print media.
Kai-Dominik Kuhn

As head of DevOps engineering, current web, app, and hardware technologies and their efficient use in client and Centigrade projects represent Kai-Dominik's core competence. He advises clients on process automation, new technology, infrastructure, and software architectures. Kai-Dominik represents DevOps as the key to process automation and the use of modern cloud technologies in combination with secure IT and data protection. He assumes this responsibility both for clients and for Centigrade infrastructure—especially to ensure smooth remote collaboration. Already during his computer science studies at Saarland University, he developed a passion for connecting business and technology by co-founding two IT start-ups and engaging intensively with IoT, web, and app-based technologies.
Steffen Roche

Steffen worked for several years in the computer game industry as a project manager, producer, and studio lead. Even there, he was enthusiastic about managing complex projects where specialists from various creative disciplines such as visual design, software development, research, and user interface design collaborate. He brings his experience as a Certified Scrum Master, but knows exactly that every project requires its individual strategies and supports as a Product Owner or advisor if needed. He has been able to successfully demonstrate this adaptability in different projects as an Agile Manager in recent years with international clients from the medical, finance, and industrial sectors. He has specialized in process optimization of complex, agile software development projects and uses AI chatbots with the help of prompt engineering where they provide efficient added value for the projects.
Luzie Seeliger

Luzie Seeliger completed her studies in German Studies and Comparative Literature at Saarland University in 2010. After working in journalism, as a copywriter, and as a press officer for a parliamentary group in the Saarland state parliament, she joined Centigrade in 2013. As an Employee Experience Manager, she significantly contributes to a healthy working atmosphere, a pleasant team climate, and employee satisfaction. In addition to onboarding new Centigrade colleagues, she also manages the company's own guidance program. Furthermore, she acts as a mediator and advisor for team issues and monitors the value and cultural fit between candidates and Centigrade in talent management.
Eric Heit
Content & Communications Creator
Degree in Communication Design
Eric is a Content & Communications Creator at Centigrade, responsible for a broad range of content, from case studies and website copy to the newsletter and social media. He plays a key role in shaping Centigrade's personal voice to the outside world. He also supports brand design and graphic work, and draws Centigrade's own UX comic series. Eric Heit is an award-winning comic artist and illustrator with a degree in communication design. In his free time, he makes music or plays video games.
Petra Ripplinger

Petra Ripplinger has many years of professional experience in executive assistance. As a trained bank clerk and foreign language secretary, she has worked in various industries (chemical industry, advertising, banking) and is therefore well acquainted with all processes of modern office management. At Centigrade GmbH, she is the primary contact for clients and suppliers and is responsible for all organizational and administrative matters.
Andrea Degel

Yuki works at Centigrade in the area of employee satisfaction and motivation. Through her balanced nature and extensive experience in the areas of cheerfulness, office napping, and communication, she contributes to a positive working atmosphere. Arya von Winterfell-Barré

Arya, as a junior WX designer, is responsible for ensuring that all colleagues and guests feel comfortable and welcome. She achieves this through her soft floppy ears and her cheerful, courteous nature. She has extensive experience in paw giving, the Kung Fu roll, and the Grizzly pose. Her daily routine includes reminding colleagues about breaks and meal times. In addition, she takes care of items lying around intensively. Besides her employment at Centigrade, she is currently studying at the Dog University.

Phoebe is the inspiring muse of our design team. Through her charm and curious nature, she manages to unleash the creativity of her colleagues and put the entire team into a productive flow. Her tendency to have her belly rubbed acts as a welcome oasis of relaxation in the sometimes hectic workday. Phoebe's ability to spread an aura of calm and motivation through her gentle eyes and fluffy shaggy fur is remarkable. In her presence, creative ideas flow almost unstoppable, giving the team a boost of inspiration and drive.
