Context Engineering, RAG & Knowledge Graphs

In this training, participants will learn how to use any documents and texts (e.g., interview transcripts or manuals) as data sources thanks to Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to answer natural language questions. Additionally, participants will learn how to structure the AI pipeline and source documents to ensure the RAG approach delivers the most accurate results possible. The limitations of RAG and suitable alternatives such as knowledge graphs and LLM wikis will also be examined with their respective advantages and disadvantages.

Who is this training for?

Interested parties with prior knowledge of Prompt Engineering, Low-Code and GenAI.

Why this training

Participants should learn what distinguishes "conventional" prompting from RAG prompting, how to smartly circumvent the context window limitation, and why it is crucial that some source documents need to be post-processed to achieve good AI responses. This will empower participants to become "discerning" producers and consumers of their own knowledge sources and enable them to informatively initiate the deployment, use, and optimization of these sources for other colleagues.

Contents

  • Introduction to Prompt Engineering
  • Introduction to the limitations of simple prompting
  • Introduction to Retrieval Augmented Generation
  • Presentation of optimization possibilities for knowledge sources
  • Introduction to Context Engineering and Meta-Prompting
  • Practical examples and exercises on domain-specific RAG prompts (e.g., finding specific text passages from a large number of interview transcripts)

Methodology

  • Alternating between theory, demonstration, and practical sections
  • Practical sections alternate between individual and group tasks
  • Online workshop in FigJam, using n8n, LeanScope AI, OpenKnowledge, Obsidian, and other tools
