Veecle sees car sharing as an important mobility scenario for the future. By sharing vehicles, cities can reclaim space currently blocked by parking. Veecle conserves resources by combining secure software code with independent vehicle components, making it easier to upgrade cars without replacing the vehicle itself.

Veecle has developed a shared-car concept whose users can change the vehicle's functions and appearance. Thanks to its high degree of customization, every car feels like the user's own. Cloud-based personalized profiles can be applied to any car in the world.

UX Design Award Nomination for Veecle

The UX Design Awards are the global competition for outstanding experiences, awarded by the International Design Center Berlin. The International Design Center Berlin (IDZ) has been a leading independent institution for the promotion of design as a driver of innovation in business and society for over 50 years. A jury of renowned experts nominates a small number of projects from all valid submissions to participate in the competition. One of these projects was our work with Veecle.

The challenge: clear visual language, intuitive operation

The vision and core functionality had to be translated into a design that does not overwhelm users. Familiar interaction mechanisms, three-dimensional visualizations, and direct feedback create a minimalist, modern look and a clear interaction flow.

Truly digital – what does it mean?

With a cloud-based user profile, every driver can access their personal configuration in any Veecle car. A shared vehicle can therefore switch from a focused business profile to an individual look depending on the driver.

Veecle's unique architecture

Open-source software allows users to install new components, change functions, and benefit from further software improvements. The vehicle components communicate with each other, while user profiles are stored securely in the cloud.
