New user interface for professional golf tee testing

Whether in competition or a short game in leisure time. The exact performance data behind every single shot plays an important role in professional golf.

Our customer commissioned us to redesign the user interface of a high-end analyzer for recording and evaluating the tee shot and trajectory during golfing. The new interface was to be as visionary as the application itself.

A thorough investigation of the usage scenarios revealed that different lighting conditions strongly influence the application. For this reason, we developed a Dark Mode and a Light Mode for the interface, which can be easily switched between via a toggle switch. Another criterion for optimizing usability: the interface should provide visual feedback about the state of the system during analysis, which is easily recognizable at a distance and from the corner of the eye. To achieve this goal, we developed effective motion designs that guarantee a long-distance effect.
